You can see a list of the synonyms, which are grouped by word sense (indicated in blue) and then listed in order of frequency in the corpus (e.g. 22,010 means that it is the 22,010th most frequent lemma in COCA). Find the synonyms (in frequency order) for flash, sway, awkward, or sheer. Best of all, you can click on any of these words in the synonyms list to see the entry for that word. In this way, you can easily and quickly follow a "chain" of words that are related in meaning.
